Ethics

What Stephen Glass did was wrong, morally and ethically. Though impressive, it was still wrong. How he got away with it for so long is anyones guess, I am suprised he can get a job anywhere because of all the lies he created. It must have been exhausting trying to keep up with all the lies and yet it didnt seem to bother him. He just rolled right through it. When the media or media persons fabricate a story, it loses merit to the public. If we as the people cannot trust those who are feeding us our day to day information than who are we to trust? How are we to know what is truth and what is fabrication?

32 Day Commitment....Being Active

My 32 Day Commitment is for Spring 2014 to be more active. This commitment will begin any time I have a spare moment and especially at home. I have been wanting to be more active for a while and be healthier for myself, but there were always so many different excuses of why I was unable to. I know its not the most creative goal, but its one that is very important to me.

Action Plan

• Stay motivated. Remind myself that is goal is what I really want, and that I will be happier when I can make it an every day routine
• Understand that the change wont happen over night and try to not be overwhelmed by the lack of immediate results
• Keep it new and exciting by doing different types of activities like hiking, push ups, running, swimming, etc.

Day 1 Wednesday 4/9/14

Okay, so I took the first day a bit slow. I did a lot of walking at school and took the stairs every chance I got. When I got to work later that evening, I did a lot of standing and more walking. That was really it, I am hoping to increase the amount of activity over the next couple of days.

Day 2 Thursday 4/10/14

Played with my dogs today (soccer is the number one choice for my german shepard) then played the kinect for about an hour. (Kinect is an interactive gaming device that allows you to be active while playing your favorite games) My legs are very sore from the amount of jumping and squats I did. No pain, no gain!...Right?

If I were a crayon

If I were a crayon I would be a green crayon. Why? I would be a green crayon because I love the color green, its in the grass, its in the trees, green eyes are becoming a rarity, and green is what makes the world go round. Without the trees, moss and other plants we would have no oxygen to breath and no food for the herbivores to eat therefore ensuring death for all. So green is pretty important, unless you don't feel like breathing, in which case I guess its not which by the way Global warming is a thing....and its really already started. Why do you think the weather has been so off its rocker the past year or two? No one wants to hear about global warming because no one thinks its really a problem and it is! Global warming is basically the earth trying to adapt to us! As opposed to us as a population trying to adapt to it and its natural changes. The climate change we have been experiencing isnt natural. The polar ice caps are melting due to our fossil fuels and carbon foot print. Which some may wonder how a place like the polar ice caps can be affected so much when its no where near us. It is affected because our fossil fuels have to go somewhere! So by warming the polar ice, causing it to melt, its pushing the polar vortex away from the poles causing it to be increasingly cold here as well as adding severe storms across the nation. Tsunamis, Tornados, Hurricanes, etc granted its usually that time of year when these events take place anyway but because of the climate change, these storms become more severe than normal. Its a very real and scary thing. We our pushing our planet to its limits and I fear that the more we push, the more we will be the cause of our own demise. Though its not too late to change it.

Is it plagerism?

Is it still plagiarism if you pay someone else to create and essay that hasn't been created yet? The answer is YES. Not only is academically wrong and cheating but it is also morally wrong. Even though it didn't come from Google or another essay  site, its still someone else s work and not yours, therefore it is in fact plagiarism and is still a "crime" Pesonally, I wont resort to having another person write my essay, im too opinionated to not want to write my own essays. Also I would feel very dishonest and guilty and would probably turn myself in because I would not feel I got the grade I deserved.

So there I was minding my own business, sitting with my agent buddy getting ready to start our mornings work when suddenly this pigeon comes up and wants a piece of me. So I tell-em "yo pigeon, you wanna piece of me?" He just sits there like a doe eyed baby and coos at me. My agent friend and I look at each other and look back at the pigeon. So I give what the wise guys askin for, but it wasn't enough. He wanted the whole enchilada, see. Well my buddy and I weren't too keen on that, which provoked the damn thing to attack us! So to protect my buddy, I let him throw me on the ground to distract the bird. Next thing I know the vermin is in our special box. He starts pushing buttons and blowing things up with the box. He was out of control I tell ya. We hear cars exploding, women and children screaming and crying. I told my buddy there was only one thing to do...let him have me. The agent holds me up so the pigeon can see me.  The bird locks in on me and begins to come forth while still armed and dangerous, just when I thought it couldn't get worse he holds me over a flaming vehicle! Im gonna smell like burnt yeast for the next week! The bird lowers the weapons and slowly begins to come out of the box but my agent spooks him and manages to toss me right into the box and I may or may not have hit the giant red button which launched a missile of mass destruction to Moscow Russia. With me in the box my agent flies through the air trying to catch up to the missile before it leaves our atmosphere. Next thing I know I fly out of the box and gravitating to earth. All I remember after that is the landing and a big boom. Oh and the bird eating what was left of me. After that its all a blur

Dark Skies

It is amazing how quickly a sunny day can turn into something so dark and evil. Recently I watched the movie The Impossible, and it was based on the tsunami that hit Thailand. In particular it focused on one family that was vacationing at a Thailand resort, right on the beach. It was a beautiful sunny day. The father was in the pool with the twins and the mom was reading a book by a glass wall that lead to the green house. The eldest boy was off somewhere by the pool as well. All within shouting distance. Suddenly the birds fly over head and the trees begin to shake as the ground starts to rumble like thunder. The mother locates her eldest and they both yell for one another. Then the mother yells at her husband whose holding the young twins. All trying to brace one another for the giant tsunami wave that is about to crash into them with astronomical force and strength. The mother watches as her sons and husband are hit with the wave and all she can do is hug her book and crouch close to the glass wall. It hits her and you see her being tossed through the current and underneath the water she gets snagged by sticks and cut by the broken shards of glass. She cries out but only to waste her breath. Finally she surfaces with a gasp for air. The current is still taking her back to the ocean as she yells for Lucas, her eldest son. Shortly she hears Lucas cry out and they both attempt to fight the current in order to reach one another. Before they can another wave tears them apart and farther from each other.

Meet Tom. Tom is 6'5 and very athletic with soft hands. He wears glasses due to his awful nearsightedness and is always well groomed. Tom is sometimes a mouth breather and walks like a duck, but he has a very nice beard with a pretty face and thick eyebrows with multiple piercings. Tom is kind of a douche. He is self involved and can be vain. He can be annoying and anti social, but to even it out he is also a love of music and is a bit colorful when it comes to his personality. He likes games and is involved in many social networking sites. Tom does what Tom wants because that's just Tom

Tom. He doesn't like his delicate hands. Being quite tall and well built, he feels it doesn't go with the tough guy persona. Tom always keeps himself well groomed, although can sometimes be a mouth breather, which would not be all that bad but his gate mimics one of a duck, also. Tom became nearsighted very young, which required him to wear glasses. He prefers glasses over contacts. Tom can sometimes be kind of a douche. With looks that one might say are very chiseled, maybe like Channing Tatum, he thinks he can get by with more, just because his beard seems full with thick eyebrows that have been carefully checked for stray hairs it doesnt mean that he was sent  been sent from the heavens for all women. Toms choice of self expression forms through getting tattoos and peircings.
