Tom

Meet Tom. Tom is 6'5 and very athletic with soft hands. He wears glasses due to his awful nearsightedness and is always well groomed. Tom is sometimes a mouth breather and walks like a duck, but he has a very nice beard with a pretty face and thick eyebrows with multiple piercings. Tom is kind of a douche. He is self involved and can be vain. He can be annoying and anti social, but to even it out he is also a love of music and is a bit colorful when it comes to his personality. He likes games and is involved in many social networking sites. Tom does what Tom wants because thats just Tom

Magic Wands

I think as a kid we all had a Magic Wand at some point. We pretended that it gave us the power to control things we either had no control of or didn't like. Then Harry Potter came out and instead of grabbing colorful sticks with stars at the top, we went to the backyard to grab limbs off the trees..its easier to believe in magic than it is to believe in the horrors that this world contains. We would rather try to look on the bright side than face that this situation may not ever get any better. It would be great if magic wands were real and we could shape the world to fit our dreams. Except for those who would use it to instruct chaos and disorder....with every action there is a reaction I guess. Cant have one without the other. Good and Evil. Forever forced to love and need one another. Kind of like a bad relationship lol. Can you imagine if nothing ever went wrong? Your car never broke down, you were always on time, people are always polite and curtious. A perfect world almost. The saying is true, Too much of a good thing isn't always a good thing. Sometimes the things we think would make like easier would actually cause more problems. Things happen because we make them happen, not because of a magic wand, or magical powers. We would never appreciate anything if we did have those things!

Sliver Necklace

Currently I am looking at a plastic necklace with silver beads. It isnt broken. What would happen if I were to break the ends keeping it together? Would the beads fall off the chain or would they stay? Would the necklace be any less beautiful if it were broken? No, sure you may need a new chain for it or maybe some kind of glue, but the necklace is still good. Just because you may feel broken, doesn't mean you cant put the pieces back together. You will need to be patient because not all the parts will fit back into place like they once did. You may need to replace some pieces with new ones. In the end you can always pull yourself back together. It just takes the right tools and time. For example. My last relationship almost shattered me when it ended and I use to not be able to look at him when we would cross paths, but today I saw him and just simply smiled. It didn't hurt anymore. He was just another person. Sure its a little weird but im ok. I'm no longer broken and the pieces of me that I had given to him, I got back. Its all about perspective. Choosing to let someone or something destroy you. No more will I allow someone to tear me down and break me. My silver necklace has been fixed and its never looked more beautiful. Don't get me wrong, some days are better than others but every day is a journey and adventure. Its what you make of it. Don't let someone break your silver necklace

Credo. In latin, means "I believe"

After reading a short story called Always Go To The Funeral, I felt very compelled to agree with a few of the statements made in it.
"Always go to the funeral" means that I have to do the right thing when I really, really don't feel like it. I have to remind myself of it when I could make some small gesture, but I don't really have to and I definitely don't want to."   Going to funerals is never fun, but there are two reasons why people go. To either pay their respects and be there for the family or, because they need closure from the death and want a chance to say goodbye. I think the moral of this credo is to say that there are always going to be things in life that we don't want to do, but its generally those things that we end up doing so we can be there for someone else.
In a way this credo is a positive saying by using a not so positive experience, funerals. That's ok though, sometimes its through the dark experiences that we can see the light better. In life we need credos to inspire and keep us moving forward. It gives us something to believe in! Like Santa on Christmas, or an inspiring movie like Harry Potter. As people we want to be great and achieve great things, its been this way since man was created....http://www.npr.org/2005/08/08/4785079/always-go-to-the-funeral

My Credo
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "Do the things that interest you and do them with all your heart. Don't be concerned about whether people are watching you or criticizing you. The chances are that they aren't paying attention to you." All these quotes really get me thinking about what it is I believe in. I believe in love and passion and kindness. So much of todays problems are brought on by hate and anger. We need to learn to let go of the past and move forward with open hearts and minds. Forgive those who have wronged you, not because they deserve it but because you deserve peace. Now I didn't write that and im not sure who did but it goes along with what I believe. Take more road trips, hug longer, listen to music every day and embrace nature. Go back to your roots if you ever find yourself lost. Take time for yourself more. Leave behind those who do not wish to help you grow as a person but instead wish to keep you in the same spot. Realize that even though the world isn't a perfect place, you have the power to make it better. Things happen the way they are meant to. I’m not calling it fate. We have the power of choice. There is no such thing as a coincidence all of our choices lead us down a different path. We just get to choose how we get there and how the game ends

What if... continued

What if there was no technology? Well I sure as hell wouldn't be listening to my iPod right now, or even typing this blog. Id be writing on a piece of paper with a quill. I do actually remember the time before cell phones existed. If I wanted to talk to a friend, id walk a mile or so to her house or use the land line. That was a better time honestly. People weren't so lazy then. I remember the nerves I get right before calling a crush and hearing the phone ring on the other line, almost hoping they wouldn't answer. Now we have texting, a very impersonal way of communication. I like it but at the same time I don't. At least now I can talk to my crush without feeling like my heart is going to fall out of my butt.

What if...

What if the sky fell or the moon exploded.
 What if Batman was real!
What if one day ill meet Joe Jonas
What if one day im famous
What if me and my ex got back together
What if people could breath under water
What if the sun wasn't really that hot
What if the earths core wasn't lava but chocolate.
 What if superheros were real
What if my date doesn't go very well
What if I trip over something today
What if I never get married
What if rain was actually angel tears.
What if we had no light
What if we could erase certain memories
What if we could control time
What if we really could be anything
What if life was like a disney movie
 What if animals could talk
What if we had rewind button
What if we could take back what we say
What if life was really like a box of chocolates
What if we could paint with all the colors of the wind.

What if superheros existed? What if every time you were in danger, this man or woman just appeared out of no where and rescued you. Its a fun thought. I use to always believe Batman and Gotham City were real. Of course I was only ten. When I got older and discovered that the world isn't filled with superheros, I was sad. We have plenty of villains so why not superheros? I know in terms of speaking there are fire fighters and police officers and they in their own right are heroes, but im talking about Superman, Batman, Flash, Hulk, Thor, Spiderman, etc.. Wouldn't it be nice if every time our car broke down, or any time we got lost, a superhero would come to save our day? Imagine what the world would be like! I'm not saying that some criminal mastermind would try to take over the world all the time, but if for one day our city had a true hero...It would be amazing and exciting. Unfortunately our life is not a comic book series. The only thing real life has that a comic book has, are villains. People who do bad things for no reason other than their personal gain or to create chaos and destruction. If regular people attempt to be vigilantes then they are the ones who go to prison as well as the criminals they are trying to stop.  Its fair but at the same time its not. If every regular person took the law into  their own hands, imagine that chaos. Wouldn't be good, but its nice to pretend that superheros exist, or that their are extraordinaire people like Buffy Summers walking around, even mutants. I think it gives us hope to think that something amazing and wonderful is out there hiding somewhere.

What if we could erase personal memories? It could be any memory. Maybe a bad experience, or maybe memories from a previous relationship. If you had the power to erase personal memories, would you ever do it? I think even the bad memories are something most people want to keep, granted we push them away into corners of the mind, but they were a learning experience. Its good to remember the good and the bad parts of life. If we only wanted the good then what happens if we were to just keep repeating those bad mistakes or even just mistakes that made us feel bad. We need memories that we would rather not have. I'm sure I have plenty that I would like to get rid of, but at the same time, if I had the option im not sure id do it.. I want to remember my experiences, the good and the bad. Those memories make me who I am today. Id hate to repeat the same mistakes just because I chose to forget them. Repeating history usually always ends badly. If you don't know your past, you wont have a future.

Inspiration

This world is so big and beautiful that its no wonder it causes so much inspiration. So many colors and sights to see that just open a whole new world (No Disney pun intended) Music can also be a huge inspiration. Its so powerful that it can change your mood on a moments notice depending on the song. If you're sad, your most likely to listen to something up beat to put you in a better mood. Unlike me who listens to sad music when I'm sad. Stupid, I know. Its amazing what a little inspiration can do. Maybe cause you to take a random road trip, or dance to your next class, or maybe even paint a picture when you didn't even think you knew how to paint! Its all about what you're capable of and pushing those limits. When I am inspired I usually sing. Sometimes I write or draw, though I haven't picked up oil pastels in quite some time, and you know what they say. A talent left unpracticed is a waste. Well actually I am not sure who said that, or if anyone said that. Maybe I can coin it and make it my phrase, who knows. The point is, find what inspires you and channel that into something even more incredible and inspiring.
