Credo. In latin, means "I believe"

After reading a short story called Always Go To The Funeral, I felt very compelled to agree with a few of the statements made in it.
"Always go to the funeral" means that I have to do the right thing when I really, really don't feel like it. I have to remind myself of it when I could make some small gesture, but I don't really have to and I definitely don't want to."   Going to funerals is never fun, but there are two reasons why people go. To either pay their respects and be there for the family or, because they need closure from the death and want a chance to say goodbye. I think the moral of this credo is to say that there are always going to be things in life that we don't want to do, but its generally those things that we end up doing so we can be there for someone else.
In a way this credo is a positive saying by using a not so positive experience, funerals. That's ok though, sometimes its through the dark experiences that we can see the light better. In life we need credos to inspire and keep us moving forward. It gives us something to believe in! Like Santa on Christmas, or an inspiring movie like Harry Potter. As people we want to be great and achieve great things, its been this way since man was created....http://www.npr.org/2005/08/08/4785079/always-go-to-the-funeral

My Credo
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "Do the things that interest you and do them with all your heart. Don't be concerned about whether people are watching you or criticizing you. The chances are that they aren't paying attention to you." All these quotes really get me thinking about what it is I believe in. I believe in love and passion and kindness. So much of todays problems are brought on by hate and anger. We need to learn to let go of the past and move forward with open hearts and minds. Forgive those who have wronged you, not because they deserve it but because you deserve peace. Now I didn't write that and im not sure who did but it goes along with what I believe. Take more road trips, hug longer, listen to music every day and embrace nature. Go back to your roots if you ever find yourself lost. Take time for yourself more. Leave behind those who do not wish to help you grow as a person but instead wish to keep you in the same spot. Realize that even though the world isn't a perfect place, you have the power to make it better. Things happen the way they are meant to. I’m not calling it fate. We have the power of choice. There is no such thing as a coincidence all of our choices lead us down a different path. We just get to choose how we get there and how the game ends
